holmes luigina...

after posting september's free pattern, holmes luigi's hat, yesterday, it occured to me that I really ought to test it myself...

I used some old Creative Focus worsted, doubled, in two shades of pink and chocolate brown...

and a couple hours later...voilà!...holmes luigina...

I knit holmes luigina on a size 9 needle at a gauge of 4 stitches per inch...the resulting hat, at approximately 16" around, is perfect for a baby...
