so...over the next few days, i will be knitting
this simple striped stocking
in yummy berroco ultra alpaca
(which i bought, of course, from my local yarn shop)
why don't you join me?
grab a couple skeins of lovely wool in two or three (or four or five or...) colors,
a size 16" circular
and
follow me as I knit a
stocking for autumn
you'll be glad you did
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI was looking for this pattern.... Miss Autumn's Stocking, but can't find it..... Can you please share the link?
Thanks!
the pattern was published on the blog over the next consecutive days...just read the next four posts!
DeleteI love this pattern & am thinking of using it for my son's stocking! He will turn one the day after Christmas : ) The pattern is so jolly, but I love that it's simple! I may just get it done on time!! : ) I really like the star that you added at the end, but am not sure how to go about making it. Any tips?! Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteHi Amanda! The star is a garter-stitch star, based one from The Knitter's Almanac by Elizabeth Zimmermann. I knit it at a very tight gauge. You can also find step-by-step instructions for that very star in my pattern, A STAR FOR BABY, on Ravelry. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/a-star-for-baby
DeleteHappy knitting!
Wonderful! Thank you so much! I'm excited to start this project, just waiting for my yarn to arrive!
